Review Info:

Is it still cool to poke fun at that leaked possibly-Optimus for the new movie? I'm not sure. Either way, that's what mecha's script called for.

Lest you think I am some kind of l33t Transformer-drawer, let me reveal my crafty secrets. I didn't technically draw any of this comic afresh. Instead I took screenshots of the movie, traced over all the needed outlines in them with the pen tool in Paint Shop Pro, and printed out the tracings at comic size, after an hour of fiddling with resizing to figure out what I had to do over here to make things actually be three and a half inches tall on the printer in the other room. I then took the printouts, taped them behind my paper, and traced over them onto the comic paper with my pencil. Finally I inked the comic with my brush like I always do, and then it was back to the usual. So technically all of "my" art above is actually a three-generations-removed tracing from movie stills -- same with the first panel of the Insurrection review.

And now you know.

At the heart of Four Panels is a simple concept: we like to watch movies. Unfortunately, movie tickets are expensive (especially for first-run showings) and so we can't actually see movies in the theater as often as we'd like.

If you can afford it, please consider donating. You can even pay us to review a specific movie! Just click the button to pay for our tickets, and include a note with your payment.
